1) THE BEECHES, SAPPERCOMBE LANE, CHARLTON KINGS, CHELTENHAM

a) From M5 (South) – Leave motorway at jct 11a, follow signs for Cirencester A417 (do NOT take A46 to Cheltenham); continue along until roundabout at top of Crickley Hill (Air Balloon pub on your right). At roundabout follow sign for Cheltenham (East) A436 until junction with A435, turn left down Charlton Hill – past Lilleybrook Golf Club, Cheltenham Park Hotel, Clocktower pub (all on left); Liitle Owl pub on your right, turn next right into Bradley Road. After about 400 yards at T-junction, turn left and Sappercombe Lane is then about 50 yards on your right (narrow entrance between two houses) – immediately AFTER Beeches Road.

b) From M5 (North) – Leave motorway at jct 10, take A4019 towards Cheltenham and follow signs towards Oxford/A40; in London Road, take Cirencester Road A435 and go through next of traffic lights. After approx. 400 yards turn left into Croft Road (between shops) and go to T-jct (opposite Charlton Kings Cemetery); turn right and Sappercombe Lane is approx. 200 yards on the left (BEFORE Beeches Road), narrow entrance between two houses.

c) From Cirencester – Take either A435, or A417 to Air Balloon roundabout then A436 to junction with A435 – follow 1a above.

d) From Bishop’s Cleeve – Continue to Racecourse roundabout and go straight across; at next traffic lights turn left and go to roundabout at junction with Prestbury Road. Take 3^rd exit into Pittville Circus and follow this road until mini-roundabout, then 3^rd exit (straight across) and go to the next traffic lights, junction with London Road. Turn left and at 2^nd set of lights, take A435 Cirencester Road and follow 1b.

e) From Stroud – Take A46 past Brockworth and then A417 towards Cirencester; at the top of Crickley Hill (Air Balloon pub on your right) follow instructions in 1a above.

2) ST.EDWARD’S JUNIOR SCHOOL, ASHLEY ROAD, CHARLTON KINGS, CHELTENHAM

a) From M5 (South) – Leave motorway at jct 11a, follow signs for Cirencester A417 (do NOT take A46 to Cheltenham); continue along until roundabout at top of Crickley Hill (Air Balloon pub on your right). At roundabout follow sign for Cheltenham (East) A436 until junction with A435, turn left down Charlton Hill – past Lilleybrook Golf Club, Cheltenham Park Hotel, Clocktower pub (all on left); Little Owl pub is on your right, turn right at next traffic lights into Lyefield Road West along to cross-roads and turn left. At junction with London Road, turn left and then immediately right into Greenway Lane. Ashley Road is next turning on left immediately after school playing fields. Turn left into Ashley Road and Junior School entrance is about 200 yards on the left.

b) From M5 (North) – Leave motorway at jct 10, take A4019 towards Cheltenham and follow signs towards Oxford/A40; in London Road, take A40 at Cirencester Road/A435 junction past London Inn pub on right and take next left into Greenway Lane – then follow 3a above.

c) From Cirencester – Take either A435, or A417 to Air Balloon roundabout then A436 to junction with A435 - then follow 3a above.

d) From Bishop’s Cleeve – Continue to Racecourse roundabout and go straight across; at next traffic lights turn left and go to roundabout at junction with Prestbury Road. Take 3^rd exit into Pittville Circus and follow this road until mini-roundabout, then 3^rd exit (straight across) and go to the next traffic lights, junction with London Road. Turn left and follow 3b.

3) BALCARRAS SCHOOL, EAST END ROAD, CHARLTON KINGS, CHELTENHAM

a) From M5 (South) – Leave motorway at jct 11a, follow signs for Cirencester A417 (do NOT take A46 to Cheltenham); continue along until roundabout at top of Crickley Hill (Air Balloon pub on your right). At roundabout follow sign for Cheltenham (East) A436 until junction with A435, turn left down Charlton Hill – past Lilleybrook Golf Club, Cheltenham Park Hotel, Clocktower pub (all on left); Little Owl pub is on your right, turn right at next traffic lights into Lyefield Road West and then turn immediately first right. At the church, carry straight on with church on your right, past Merryfellow pub on left and into East End Road – about half a mile later are signs for Balcarras Sports Centre on the right.

b) From M5 (North) – Leave motorway at jct 10, take A4019 towards Cheltenham and follow signs towards Oxford/A40; in London Road, take A40 at Cirencester Road/A435 junction past London Inn pub on right and after about half mile turn right into Hearne Road (Hotel on corner on right), at T-jct turn left into East End Road and Balcarras Sports Centre is on your right approx. 400 yards.

c) From Cirencester – Take either A435, or A417 to Air Balloon roundabout then A436 to junction with A435 - then follow 4a above.

d) From Bishop’s Cleeve – Continue to Racecourse roundabout and go straight across; at next traffic lights turn left and go to roundabout at junction with Prestbury Road. Take 3^rd exit into Pittville Circus and follow this road until mini-roundabout, then 3^rd exit (straight across) and go to the next traffic lights, junction with London Road. Turn left and follow 4b.

4) CHELTENHAM CRICKET CLUB, VICTORIA GROUND, PRINCES STREET, CHELTENHAM

a) From Cirencester (A417)

Continue along A417 until you reach the roundabout by the Air Balloon Pub. Take the second exit and immediately turn left towards Leckhampton. Continue along this road, down into Cheltenham (1-2 miles), across mini roundabouts until you reach the roundabout with pub on the corner (Norwood Arms). Take last exit - Bath Road - down througn the Leckhampton shops, continue until traffic lights with Cheltenham College on your right. Go through this set of lights, and then turn right at the next set in 200yds, followed immediately by a left past the Hospital on your right. Continue to next set of traffic lights and go straight over into Hewlett Road. Pass the ESSO garage on your right (150yds) and take the next right into Carlton Street. Take the first left into Princes Street, just before the pillar box. Continue to the end.

b) From South West (M5)

Come off the M5 at junction 11a and take the A419 towards Cirencester. Leave at the first juction and go left, picking up the A46 to Cheltenham. Continue along this road into Cheltenham, pass through the traffic lights. At the roundabout (Norwood Arms) go straight over and down Bath Road, past the Leckhampton shops. Continue until traffic lights with Cheltenham College on your right. Go through this set of lights, and then turn right at the next set in 200yds, followed immediately by a left past the Hospital on your right. Continue to next set of traffic lights and go straight over into Hewlett Road. Pass the ESSO garage on your right (150yds) and take the next right into Carlton Street. Take the first left into Princes Street, just before the pillar box. Continue to the end.

c) From Oxford (A40)

Come into Cheltenham along the A40, past the reservoir, through Charlton Kings until you reach the first major traffic lights (junction with A435 Cirencester Road). Continue straight through these, and through the next set (with Hales Road on your right). Turn right at the next set into Hewlett Road. Pass the ESSO garage on your right (150yds) and take the next right into Carlton Street. Take the first left into Princes Street, just before the pillar box. Continue to the end.

d) From North (M5)

Come off the M5 at junction 11 and pick up the A40 into Cheltenham. Cross over the first two roundabouts. At the traffic lights just after TGI Friday on your right, fork right. Continue staight on towards town centre. At the roundabout, take 2nd exit (Montpellier Terrace) and continue to the traffic lights at the end. Turn right at these and immediately left, followed by a left in 100yards down past the Hospital on your right. Continue to next set of traffic lights and go straight over into Hewlett Road. Pass the ESSO garage on your right (150yds) and take the next right into Carlton Street. Take the first left into Princes Street, just before the pillar box. Continue to the end.

5) PITTVILLE SCHOOL, ALBERT ROAD, CHELTENHAM

Pittville School is in Albert Road near The Pittville Pump Rooms. Head towards the Racecourse and from the A435 Racecourse roundabout (towards Prestbury) this is first on the right, and the school is about 300 yards on the left (postcode is GL52 3JD).
